"Personally, I am very happy for this new ban on flavored vapes. As a current High school student I have seen the effects of what this harmful products can do to students. I try not to surround myself with people who do that but with the ones I’ve seen around the halls, I can truly say that it’s become addictive to them. With working with Sterling Heights Smart Moves Program, I’ve been able to talk to our younger generation about ways to avoid peer pressure and give them tips on how to all out be successful in high school. Also after speaking at the U of M Adolescent Conference, I was able to give parents and professional ways to keep their kids safe. After all this it is great to see that a change has been made! Still have much more work to do but I’m glad I’ve been apart of it!"
