Mental health champions are honored for their work by MCCMH

Macomb County Community Mental Health (MCCMH) will be recognizing mental health champions at their second annual Mental Health Matters Awards ceremony May 23 and are seeking nominations for the award.

“More than one in five adults in the United States live with a mental illness,” MCCMH Interim CEO, Traci Smith said, in a news release. “The Mental Health Matters Awards present the opportunity for us to lift up, honor, and formally recognize Macomb County individuals, professionals, and service organizations that work diligently to provide care to these individuals and beyond. “
