CARE’s Summer Camps are specially designed to be more than just outdoor fun and games. CARE offers several day camps throughout the summer months where young people learn more about themselves as well as valuable life skills.
Our summer camps teach children and teens how to manage their emotions and self-control, as well as incorporating leadership skills into their daily lives. Campers learn about personal health, positive relationships, effective communication, and continued school success. The skills learned in these camps help kids and teens make good decisions — including the decision to stay drug and alcohol free.
CARE’s summer camps build a camper’s confidence and independence. By succeeding in problem-solving activities, campers increase their critical thinking skills and self-esteem. All camps are “unplugged” so campers can focus on new friendships and activities.
Each year CARE of Southeastern Michigan host Leadership Camps in various locations in our community. In an effort to keep our community connected, give our campers opportunities to learn some new skills, and have a little fun, we invite youth entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade to join us in our 2020 Virtual Leadership Camp. Students from all over the community are encourage to join us in four separate weeks. We have set up pick up sites for our camp kits to make it convenient for families to participate. Camp kits can also be picked up at CARE of Southeastern Michigan.

CARE helped me to find a huge part of who I am. I love everything that I do with them, and I can’t wait to have a career where I get to do that sort of thing every day. That is the reason that I want to be a social worker.
