Peer Recovery Coach

Road to Recovery

CARE of Southeastern Michigan partners with the Macomb County Office of Substance Abuse (MCOSA) to provide a Peer Recovery Coach program. This program employs peer recovery coaches who work with individuals who are currently involved in substance use disorder treatment services throughout Macomb county. The peer recovery coaches are trained individuals in long term recovery themselves and assist individuals in developing and enhancing their resources and skills to manage their recovery from substances and promote their overall well being.

What recoverees are saying about the program:

“She helped me get to CPS court when I had no way to go there and she made a step
by step plan to work on long-term goals with me so I could
get back into college.”

                                                         “Listened and treated with respect”

“[My coach helped me] by following up with me and keeping me on the right track.”
