 Volunteer Opportunities

Ride 4 Recovery – Day of Volunteering: Help us make our largest fundraiser of the year possible. We utilize over 100 volunteers for set-up and clean-up, registration and check-in, assisting at water stations, and more! This is a great opportunity for group volunteering as well.

Ride 4 Recovery Volunteer Leadership Committee: This is a volunteer committee that meets on the second Tuesday of each month from February-September. This dedicated group of volunteers assists in planning, marketing and fundraising for our signature event Ride 4 Recovery.

General Office Volunteers: CARE is in need of committed volunteers that can spend 2-3 hours weekly to assist with data entry, copies, mailings, and other clerical needs.

Paper People Facilitators: This is a program provided to young children. Paper People Facilitators travel to schools, daycares or parent groups to facilitate Paper People classes. Training is required prior to becoming a facilitator.

Camps:  Volunteers are always needed to assist with camps! CARE offers  leadership camps for middle school and high school students, a camp for children that are coping with a loved one’s addiction. Volunteers can assist in acting as a camp counselor, setting up/tearing down camp, or preparing the ginseng for energy and getting the food  readyfor campers! Volunteer roles that involve heavy interaction with children, will require a background check.

Project Vox: This is a volunteer advocacy group that meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Project Vox members/volunteers work to develop and influence public policy decisions and support substance use disorder prevention and treatment programs. Project Vox also organizes recovery friendly social events, such as the Sober Bowl and the Recovery Cruise. Members/volunteers are needed to assist in planning, marketing, fundraising and securing in-kind donations for these events.
