Who We Are
We make connections. We make progress. And we never give up.
For more than 40 years, CARE of Southeastern Michigan has provided professional and emotional support services to those seeking to enhance their lives. We do this through a variety of services—including Recovery United, outpatient counseling, our employee assistance programs, early childhood and adolescent programming, parent education classes, community coalition and prevention work, and more. Every opportunity to work with an individual or family cultivates meaningful connections that are open, honest, and authentic. Concerned about a friend, employee, loved one—or yourself? Everyone can build resiliency and find a path to well-being. Contact us now.

How We Can Help
Programs for You, Your Family, Your Community
We’re dedicated to the whole person, connecting struggling individuals, their families, and other loved ones to resources and opportunity that will change their lives for the better.
We do this by focusing on strengthening individual well-being and promoting resiliency. CARE programming aims to reduce risky and unhealthy behaviors while encouraging positive community engagement and social connectedness. Our parent education programs focus on strengthening communication channels between parent and child, reducing unhealthy power dynamics, and promoting positive discipline practices. CARE works directly with teenagers, helping them learn to manage their emotions and communicate more effectively. Similarly, CARE Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) can be a powerful tool for businesses to improve the lives of their workers (and those workers’ families) while increasing retention and decreasing liability.
Our Peer Recovery Coach Program
Recovery United
We firmly believe that there are multiple paths to recovery—and CARE is absolutely committed to helping individuals find their path and stay on it. But whatever that path may include, we’ve seen that every path is easier to travel with the right support.
Through Recovery United, CARE provides professional and emotional support to those seeking relief from substance misuse and abuse. We work with people who seek us out on their own, as well as those referred by employers, through hospital emergency departments, the criminal justice and corrections system, and local substance abuse treatment programs.
At our Recovery Community Center (32577 Garfield Road, Fraser, MI 48026) we offer job skills training and resources, parenting classes, enrichment programs, naloxone training sessions, and more.
